On September 17–18, pagers and radios began to explode en masse throughout Lebanon and in some areas of Syria. About forty people are reported to have died.

September 21 will be two years since the signing of the presidential decree on mobilization. This mobilization in fact turned out to be indefinite. In connection with this, the wives and mothers of those mobilized announced two protests.
