On March 18, a concert-rally was held in Luzhniki in honor of the anniversary of the "reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia." According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 203 thousand people came to the stadium. Vladimir Putin also spoke at the event, although he did not plan to attend the concert.
A Novaya Gazeta correspondent visited the rally and spoke with its participants about this holiday, and also found out what Russians think about the “special operation.”
