16 августа 2001 г. *** На рассвете с.Аллерой Курчалоевского р-на было окружено военной техникой. Там началась «зачистка». В операции принимали участие несколько тысяч военнослужащих (по словам местных жителей, не менее 7000 человек). По-видимому, в операции были задействованы не только военнослужащие федеральных сил, но и сотрудники спецподразделений МВД и ФСБ РФ. Аллерой – небольшое село, расположенное в предгорье. Это родина предков президента ЧРИ Аслана Масхадова.

Спецборт МЧС накануне доставил в подмосковный аэропорт Раменское 16 пострадавших в результате взрыва в Махачкале. Среди них трое детей. Состояние всех пациентов удовлетворительное. Шесть пострадавших сейчас находятся на аппарате ИВЛ. Всех развозят в больницы Москвы. Напомним, трагедия произошла вечером 14 августа. На автозаправке «Нафта-24» в Кумторкалинском районе на севере Махачкалы произошел взрыв. В результате погибли 35 человек, более 100 пострадали.

Жители Махачкалы стали почти ежедневно перекрывать дороги из-за хронического отсутствия в их домах электричества. На протест отреагировал председатель правительства Дагестана Абдулмуслим Абдулмуслимов. В связи с перекрытием улицы проспекта Петра I на место для встречи с гражданами направлены первый замминистра энергетики и тарифов региона Динислам Иманмурзаев и руководство «Махачкалинских Горэлектросетей».

Во время очередного приступа эпилепсии Абдул-Малику Албагачиеву не оказывалась медицинская помощь в ИК-8 Астраханской области. Более двух часов уроженец Ингушетии пролежал на полу в камере, сообщил фонд «Общественный вердикт». Когда к заключенному допустили тюремного врача, у него не оказалось никаких медицинских препаратов. Адвокат Ирина Бирюкова направила в Следственный комитет сообщение о преступлении. По ее словам, налицо признаки и состав статьи 293 УК РФ (халатность).

В Чечне проверят жалобу Никиты Журавеля о том, что его в грозненском СИЗО избил сын главы Чечни Рамзана Кадырова. Об этом сообщила уполномоченный по правам человека РФ Татьяна Москалькова. Она обратилась к чеченскому омбудсмену Мансуру Солтаеву с просьбой в рамках своих полномочий провести проверку по данному случаю, особенно просила «обратить внимание на медицинское освидетельствование побоев и показания свидетелей».
