The slow-motion collapse of Russian higher education

Dmitry Dubrovskiy is a historian and human rights scholar at Charles University, specializing in the politics of academic freedom and civil society in Russia. His expertise includes analyzing state pressure on educational institutions and examining post-Soviet countries' broader human rights situation. Since 2015, Dmitry has also served as an expert advisor on academic freedoms, contributing to international advocacy efforts. In addition to his work at Charles University, he collaborates with various CSOs to advance research and public understanding of academic freedom in Russia. In April 2022, the Russian state designated him a “foreign agent.”
