Last Saturday, September 25, a concert of the St. Petersburg group “More & Rals” was held in Tire, which brought with it a hurricane of sound and good mood. “Seas” is a cheerful trinity (Lelik, Shulia and Bloop), playing in the best traditions of independent English music. Bizarre guitar harmony, dense bass and a powerful drive rhythm - this is all of them.
Over the past six months, this is the third performance of the guys. “Prodynamics” of their first concert in the winter, in May completely spontaneously for themselves and unexpectedly, none for the Pskov public, they arrived along with the group “cartoons” and ... put the hall, full of ears, literally on their ears. Some spectators were so exhausted that there was no strength left for the group of “cartoons”.
After a couple of months, “More & Rals” played as part of the presentation of their second album “On the Discach !!!”. The current concert was another presentation - now the album of the Cavers made mainly on the things of “electronic” performers: “The Prodigy”, “Aphex Twin”, “Cornelius”, etc. Now people did not go to the famous “cartoons”, but on little -known, but already loved “seas”. We followed the next charge of vigor and positive. And they did not regret it.
After the concert, we managed to talk with the vocalist and part -time by the bassist of the group Alexei Zverekov. The impression of the conversation was no worse than from the concert itself: the same friendliness, the same charge of good mood and the same endless charm ...

Lesha, did you originally play such music?
No, she changed. There used to be simpler reefs. Now she has become more prudent. Well, we did not know how to play, and now it’s not particularly master (modest).
The combination of “jazz-punk”-did you come up with?
No, this was the drummer from the Group “Squandr” invented. Maybe he, of course, is right, but we would not want to consider ourselves punk. I do not know why the group is called Panki at all. It is if only they themselves say that they are punks and behave appropriately. We are definitely not pancakes. Of course, we are getting off, Kurolemi in our free time and behave, we can say, in a pankovo, but still it is different, it is much more powerful.
We often go to Moscow, and it so happened that we obscured with a punk test that illuminates Russian punk culture. There are cool dudes that generally speak well about the punk rock in Russia, or rather they interpret it well and competently. I like it. But since we hang out with them, we are also considered a punk rock. This is wrong.
And what can you attribute yourself to?

Yes. In our country, people have postponed the consciousness that if punk, then Iroquois, leather jackets ... abroad, in the same Poland, Germany, France, punks are completely different. They go there in wide erased pants, sneakers. They have some colorful dreadlocks there.

Well, and the same “blinks” (“Blink-182”) and the same?
And there are all sorts of branches: SKA-Punk, Surf Punk, and so on. I think they are more likely to be this culture. No, we don’t play such a navigation (Speed-speed (English) music. We like to knead hip-hop rhythms with some kind of such britis-pop. For example, I like the outskirts of guitar music: people live somewhere in Britain, Germany on the outskirts of the city and play a positive rock in clubs. There is still a name that is suitable for this-indie music (Independent - independent (Eng. - Author). This is a Manchester wave. Independent alternative music.

English music is closer to you than American?
Yes, sure. We don't like the American one at all. There are, of course, groups that stand out there, but for the Americans themselves it is very difficult. In America, everything is somehow hard. I hope that we will not be so. Because we also polish everything and somehow leads to a common denominator: this is a punk, this is a rock music, this is pop music. I would not want to be like that.
And what is English music closer to you?
In general, European music is more honest or something. People can travel to other countries, since they have free movement in Europe, communicate, so they know different mentality, they create a general opinion of the whole region of Europe. And America - all - is cooked in its own juice, and what can they find out? Well, if someone leaves there somewhere, but these are units.
You can’t play in one city, because you need to ride and watch how people live, what they listen to, and simply to know you. From this, your music will only become more diverse and interesting. You can’t sit in one place. This is a vacuum. And in a vacuum, everything dies.

When you play, what do you want to convey, convey? What is your Message (Epistle (Eng. - Auth.)?
I grew up that when I left the house, I loved to break away, go to clubs and everything that has accumulated, the whole press that we exists in the city, the country (well, they really pressed us!), Twist. And with our music we want to make it clear that we need to break away from the ground a little ...
That is the main positive mood, separation?
Yes. Of course, I would like to convey some feelings, emotions. But we try not to sing lyrics at concerts, although we also have lyrical songs. It would be possible to play them at the concert, but I want to draw them, and to make a firing, and to make fun ... Although, in fact, if some producer listened to us, he would immediately cut off some kind of songs: this is singing this, do not sing this. And then there would be a pure commerce aimed at the consciousness of the public and the complete management of it.
Would you go for it?
I think that we will come to this ourselves. True, this does not mean that we will manage, we’ll just like to settle down a little. And now we are just Figarim without compromises without stopping. The main thing is not for long, because you can’t listen to us for a long time: three tools are still not so much, although ...
Therefore, the songs are so short?
And we don't really like to “load”. Maybe this is also a characteristic feature: people like it when just a little bit, but at the same time they should not give a descent.
Would you like to expand the composition, add tools?
At concerts, of course, I would like. But I still feel that we have a huge potential that we did not use the three. We have arms, legs, we can press a bunch of buttons. On the recording, we, of course, add some kind of dube tracies that we cannot play at the concert, but we write them down ourselves. In general, if we come up with something super-sover sophisticated, yes, we will take a musician.
In addition, I like it when the group is very coordinated at the concert. The three of us now understand each other very well, and I would just not want to break this unity.
