Dear Michael!
With deep bewilderment, I read your material in the “hedgehog” of November 30 to a few bulky, for my taste, the heading “to fel up where you look or tell me the truth”.
Honestly, I don't really understand why you decided to contact me publicly. Ours, albeit cap, acquaintance quite made it possible to do this in a personal letter. I admit, the plot in question did not look, because for this it was necessary to overlook the entire old news release, and this is an amateur lesson. I admit that it was so, but I can’t comment on the above reason.
I will refer only to my personal experience. It often happens to go to Jerusalem buses. The percentage of passengers-Arabs there approximately corresponds to the percentage of the Arab population of Israel. I have never observed anything like that you described. But I remember very well how in my last visit, in March of this year, there was a terrorist attack on the bus of the 74th route. And in the fall of 2000, a crowd of oppressed Palestinians, whom you so touchingly sympathize, simply torn into pieces of two reservists who accidentally drove into the territory of autonomy. And not further than yesterday in the village in Galilee, a three -minute drive from the house where I was visiting a friend, your Arab friends threw from a mobile missile installation.
Dear Michael! Unfortunately, for a lack of time, I am not ready to join the ranks of fighters for the freedom of the long -suffering Palestinian people.
I don’t understand, however, what prevents you from doing this. True, not from the beautiful Bostonsky far away, where this can be done quite comfortable, but directly here, so to speak, in the thick of events. This would give your feelings additional acuteness.
And yet. After reading your material almost to the end, I remembered the brilliant Leninist formulation of “useful idiots” in a sinful thing, which describes the group of intellectuals, which today is widely represented in the left part of the political spectrum. However, in the end you write: “Yes, Igor, I agree with you, our homeland is also disgusting” - and this is already a provocation in its pure form.
Nowhere and I have never written anything like that. I quite admit that our homeland really causes such a feeling, but where are I?
