Communism = fascism
Another country equalized the crimes of communism and fascism. On July 13, the Parliament of Slovakia introduced criminal liability for the public denial of crimes of fascist and communist regimes against humanity, against the rights and freedoms of citizens. Only a blind or one of the relatives, overwhelmed by envy, jealousy or a dream of an inheritance, can not see direct kinship between communism and fascism. Soviet communism and German Nazism as the brightest representatives of the totalitarian family were so similar in essence that it seemed that the story itself condemned them to be sworn friends.
They were friends against the whole world before the loss of the pulse, then fought with each other to the deadly end. Together they shared Europe, together they took a military parade in Brest in the early days of World War II, cursed American and English imperialism together. Everyone built their socialism: Hitler - National, Stalin - International. In accordance with these differences, the Nazis destroyed mainly other nations; Communists, for the most part, are their own. Tens of millions of people became victims of the construction of these socialisms.
The community of ideas was manifested in the similarity of tools. Almost simultaneously, they invented concentration camps and total propaganda, made a secret police and state security with an instrument of internal repressions. In both countries, the socialist parties became the leading political force: in the USSR-the Russian Communist Party of the Bolsheviks (nee Russian Social-Democratic Workers' Party), in Germany-National Socialist German Labor Party.
Each of the modes succeeded in something more, something less. National Socialists, obsessed with the mania of persecution, built a conveyor in the camps of death to destroy their racial enemies. The Communists, obsessed with the mania of greatness, used the work of their class enemies at the Great Stalinist construction sites.
There were errors. Stalin, unlike Hitler, could not prevent massive treason - hundreds of thousands of former Soviet troops stood under the Nazi banners and turned their weapons against the communist regime. Hitler, unlike Stalin, did not expose his army and state apparatus to preventive “cleaning”, as a result of which about 40 attempts were made on him. However, tactical errors were compensated in all other cases with fierce cruelty and mass burning of all free and living.
Needless to say, the friendship of fraternal regimes could not last long. The intraspecific struggle, as you know, is the most acute. The first two years of World War II, the USSR and Germany were military allies, then for four years - military opponents, and the whole thing ended in the defeat of Nazism and the prolongation of the communist regime for another 46 years.
Today in Europe, Nazism and Communism are cursed equally. And this is fair. However, curses do not remain only the subject of public discussions and the topic of school lessons. Converting to the norms of the law, they migrated to the criminal codes of some democratic countries. And here a vague suspicion is born - and does the criminal legislation of these countries assimilate the principles that were guided by the persons of the human -human ideologies?
Next will follow not very political correctly reasoning. Refined Europeans please postpone further reading until better times. However, judge for yourself. The new Slovak law provides for citizens publicly expressing sympathy for communist or fascist regimes, punishment of imprisonment for a term of six months to three years. A similar law in Poland for the promotion of Nazism, fascism and communism, as well as for participating in organizations professing these ideas, promises up to two years in prison. In Hungary, for the same, as well as the denial of the Holocaust, you can get three years. In the Czech Republic of fans of totalitarianism, from three to eight years in prison. Only for doubts that the crimes of Nazism or Communism were generally committed, you can get up to six years.
“The thing is to guarantee that the denial of the atrocities committed by the Communists and the Nazis will not get away with anyone,” explained the leader of the Slovak Conservative Party Peter the hare after the adoption of the new law. Let us pay attention: we are not talking about the atrocities themselves, but about the comments about them. These are not at all weak prison terms not for violence, theft or espionage, but for a publicly expressed opinion. In the same way, the “ideologically incorrect” statements under Stalin could have sentenced to the 58th article of the Criminal Code to 10 years in camps or execution, and in Nazi Germany, where they did not always use the Criminal Code for a sentence, also shoot or send to the concentration camp. Later, in the Soviet Union, up to three or up to seven years in prison, for the denial of the successes of socialism, for the denial of the successes of socialism.
Paradoxically, but the fact: the norms of totalitarian legislation are reproduced in the released from the communism of the East European countries, however, with the opposite ideological sign. But is it a sign? The restriction of freedom of speech is already an ideology, and, perhaps, very far from democracy and liberalism. How far can you go along this path? Is it not to the model of Moscow or Berlin of the 30s?
A healthy society condemns fascism and communism. But only a sick or dreaming person sends his opponents to the bunks. Only an unhealthy society refuses to discuss, prohibits it and draws up this ban on legislatively. How many years should a person who declared, for example, should be received, that he likes “improving the living conditions of the population, eliminating unemployment, the mass spread of a healthy lifestyle, the development of tourism, physical education and sports”? This is from the NSDAP program. And instead of convincing the opponent that the solution to social problems does not guarantee freedom and prosperity at all, he will be sentenced and sent to prison?
The basis of such measures is the deep distrust of the legislator to the layman, who is supposedly not able to independently figure out what is good and what is bad. Distrust of their own citizens is one of the pillars of the totalitarian system. The imposition of state opinion by force is a corporate sign of totalitarianism.
Perhaps the layman really easily assimilates the ideas of xenophobia and national superiority. Well, get into the discussion and prove your case! It doesn’t matter if this concerns history or today's life. And if they could not prove the rightness, depart from the disagreements. If 99 out of a hundred people express the right point of view, does this mean that the remaining one has the right to express his point of view, erroneous? Yes, even under pain of prison punishment!
We, who survived the Soviet communism, overwhelming it, overwhelmed by him, is gratifying to hear the truth about totalitarianism today. We are glad to judicial retribution, which, although rarely, still overtakes the executioners of the communist regime. We are ready to do everything so that the past does not happen again. In no form. Even under the pretext of protecting democracy from historical blasphemy. In response to a word - only a word.
Yes, we will not be likened to those whom we condemn.
