Mikhail Pulin intends to seek political asylum in Lithuania.
On June 18, 2020, Mikhail Pulin, a member of the nationalist movement Association of Popular Resistance (ANS), announced that he had left Russia and intended to seek political asylum in Lithuania. According to the activist, he made this decision due to the fact that he became “a defendant in another criminal case.”
Probably, we are talking about a criminal case on the illegal formation of a legal entity (paragraph “b” of Part 2 of Article 173.1 of the Criminal Code). In May 2020, as part of the investigation of this case, searches took place at the headquarters of the ANS and at the homes of two members of the movement: Lilia Osipova and Mikhail Pulin, after which several activists were interrogated and released as witnesses.
