Zelenogradsky court of Moscow placed under house arrest self-proclaimed "acting president of the USSR" Sergei Taraskin.
On November 5, 2020, the Zelenograd Court of Moscow sent under house arrest until December 25 the self-proclaimed "acting president of the Union of Slavic Forces of Rus' (USSR)" Sergei Taraskin.
Taraskin is charged under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization). He appealed against the decision to impose a preventive measure.
Recall that the dentist Sergey Taraskin is the leader of the Union of Slavic Forces of Rus' (USSR). The ideology of the movement is based on the belief that the Soviet Union will never did not fall apart, so the current government in Russia should be declared illegitimate. According to the followers of Taraskin, in 1991 there was a "raider seizure" of power, and the current leadership of the Russian Federation and states formed on the site of the former Soviet republics are "organized criminal communities" with which it is necessary to fight in order to restore all the structures and organs of the USSR.
On July 15, 2019, the Union of Slavic Forces of Rus' was recognized as an extremist organization.
