On August 15, the Archaeological Center of the Pskov Region hosted the opening of an exhibition of finds that were discovered during excavations in Pskov this season. So, at the excavation on Lenin Street, mouthpieces of Dutch smoking pipes of the 17th-18th centuries, casting molds, a bone horse for a child's leg, keys and locks were found. At the excavation on Vorovsky Street, archaeologists discovered items that people lost during the descent to the river - beads, coins, a painted egg-rattle. Fishing items and floats were also found. Crosses and other grave goods were found at the same excavation site. A ring, a horseshoe, a fragment of a bottle were found. At the Mikhailovsky excavation site on Sverdlov Street, 62 finds of different times - from the 13th to the 18th centuries. Medieval lighting devices for holding a torch, gun flints for striking a spark, part of a bunny whistle - a children's toy, a large amber bead. The main find at the Pokrovsky complex is a signet ring depicting a unicorn from the 16th century, which is very well preserved. Many coins were also found, a fragment of a golden pendant with a small pearl, ladies' jewelry, belt pads, weights, bucket handles, knives, a tow pin, retouched window panes, iron cannonballs, an arrowhead and lead bullets. / PLN
Pre-election campaigning in the media starts in the Pskov region. In accordance with the electoral legislation, from August 16, on the channels of television and radio broadcasting organizations and in print periodicals, the election campaign of candidates for deputies, heads of municipalities and governors will start, who in the Pskov region will be elected on a single voting day in less than a month. Election campaigning is carried out during the period that begins 28 days before voting day, that is, from August 16, and ends at zero o'clock local time one day before voting day. On the Day of Silence, only previously posted campaign materials may remain in place, provided that they are located no closer than 50 meters from the polling stations. By law, campaigning in the media is carried out exclusively at the expense of election funds. Candidates will have airtime on five TV and radio channels every working day for four weeks, with half of the airtime devoted to debates. Candidates have the right to buy time. Seven TV channels, 20 radio stations, 45 newspapers and magazines, online publications can offer their air. In total, the election commission of the Pskov region received notifications from 79 television and radio broadcasting organizations, editorial offices of periodicals, online media, ready to offer their services to candidates. Anton Minakov will replace Sergei Makarchenko as coordinator of the regional branch of the Liberal Democratic Party. On August 16, the regular reporting and election conference of the regional branch of the Liberal Democratic Party took place, it was attended by 94 people. The conference participants elected a new coordinating council. It consisted of 12 people instead of 9, which were earlier. Having passed through the Kursk Bulge, crossing the Dnieper, as well as fighting in Belarus, the division ended the war in Germany. Paratroopers took part in the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo in 1999-2001, in both Chechen wars in 1994-1996 and 1999-2007, as well as in the operation to force Georgia to peace.
