The story of the abduction in Kyiv Leonid Razvozhaev looks unsightly from all sides. The behavior of the Russian state in this story, to put it mildly, is outrageous, and Leonid Razvoszhaev - also to put it mildly - is incomprehensible.
Gangster methods used by Russian law enforcement agencies can shock only those who do not know domestic history in our country, and lived most of their conscious life with their eyes closed. What Razvozhaev describes is flowers in comparison with what happened, for example, with the usual civilian population in the last decade in Chechnya. And throughout Russia things are happening much more terrible. All this, of course, does not cancel the fact that the police and the special services were noted as bandits in the case of Razvozhaev - defiantly, fearlessly and even, it seems, with some dashing. The self -confidence with which Russian criminals in uniform are operating on the territory of a neighboring state leads to sad thoughts about the conventions of Ukrainian sovereignty and the upcoming return of Russia to the self -isolation policy.
If everything is sad with the Russian state, but more or less understandable, then with Leonid Razvozzhaev and sad and not clear. The sad thing is that, unable to withstand even psychological pressure, the opposition was scared, pasted and gave evidence convicting his comrades. There can be a hundred explanations and a thousand excuses for this, but the very fact of cowardice manifested does not become less sad from this. Of course, each person has his own threshold of physical endurance and psychological stability, but people with a low threshold are not recommended to go into a political opposition. Everyone must realize this for themselves and, most importantly, on time.
The “reverse”, which gave Razvozhaev, withdrawing his turnout with a guilty, may still allow him to keep himself in the future, but the probability of this, alas, is small. Most people who have broken during the investigation are not able to straighten up later. Investigators who felt for the accused Slabin will never let him go and put him on a sore point until the person finally drops. Such is the gloomy practice of the parallest business. Such is the sad story of political resistance in our country. Although there are examples of the fact that people, having stumbled, succumbing to short -term fear and cowardice, then it is not known where they found the strength to restore the will and stay with dignity. Unfortunately, this happens infrequently.
A person rarely breaks immediately and forever. Usually this is a painful process, with attempts to maintain self -esteem, with the search for self -justification and compromise. People who agreed in political affairs to cooperate with the investigation most often refer to torture - sometimes genuine, sometimes imaginary. I know the case when one Soviet-time dissident, having been in prison, decided to admit his guilt only because he was afraid to get into a pressata (a camera in which the convicts with the administration of the convict is earned and torture stubbornly under investigation). In other cases, torture is real, but they are not so effective - the pain retreats, and the will returns. In those cases when psychological breakdown occurs, the effect is expected to be long -term.
To condemn people who could not withstand a strict investigation, and even more so torture is a rather stupid occupation, and sometimes not very worthy. However, it is always useful to understand what was actually with a person and whether it was torture or only fantasies for self -justification. This is important for collective experience, and for understanding the repressive system, and for further communication with the victim of the torture investigation.
In the case of Razvoszhaev, there is a lot of incomprehensible. Member of the Public Supervisory Commission Valery Borschev, who visited Razvozhaev in the Lefortovo prison, told his words on the Rain television channel the following: “He was abducted, put in a minibus, tied his legs and arms, he pounded his hat, he did not see anything. Then only five hours he was taken out in Russia. He was taken to some kind of basement. The legs also tied the legs.
The Razvoszhaev himself told the PMC to members that on October 18, at about 13 hours, he left the HIAS organization in Kyiv (which conducts preliminary interviews in the interests of the UN UN with applicants for political asylum) and was stolen directly from the office of the office. "There were four people in the minibus with me. I think these were Ukrainians: they were silent almost all the time. We arrived to the border, and there they transferred me to another minibus - right on the door - I did not go out into the street." An hour and a half to two hours later they arrived at some dilapidated house, and he was placed in the basement. “The handcuffs were handed over to me, they stuck them with a chain with handcuffs on my feet. I had Pajama under my trousers (it was pretty cold in Kyiv), and therefore handcuffs, worn on trousers, and not on a naked body, did not leave traces on the legs. There are also no traces of handcuffs and on my arms. I sat in this position for three days,” Removes Razvoszhaev.
To sit for three days in handcuffs on the legs and arms, without food and especially without water, in fact painfully. The only question is where these three days came from. Razvoszhaev claims that he was kidnapped in Kyiv on October 18, but the HIAS, UN UN UNCS and witnesses unanimously claim that this happened on Friday day, October 19. All the first messages of the press about the abduction of Razvozhaev also mention this particular date. In Moscow, he appeared in public - when escorted to the Basmanny Court - about 19 hours on Sunday, October 21. This means that from the moment of his abduction until the appearance in Moscow could not pass for more than 54 hours. This is already less than three days. How much time did he sit in the basement?
From Kyiv to the Russian border in the Bryansk region you need to go about 4 hours. Another one and a half to two hours, from the words of Razvozhaev, to the basement in a dilapidated house. Then, after the basement, another 5 hours, from his own words, to Moscow. In Moscow, he was also not immediately taken to court, but first (from his words) to the Izmailovsky Park, where they transferred the investigator, then went to the Investigative Committee, they were interrogated and charged, invited Kvasov’s lawyer and only then (Razvozhaev did not specify exactly when) they went to the Basmanny Court. All these movements in Moscow and investigative actions could not take less than 6 hours, but most likely more. This is already about 17 hours from the entire deadline. There is no dispute, a day and a half on a chair in the basement - this is also hard. The only question is in one thing: why did you have to lie about three days that are not consistent with simple arithmetic?
The Kommersant newspaper, referring to its sources in law enforcement agencies, claims that Leonida Razvoszhaev was delivered to Moscow from Kyiv by Special Fores on October 21. Of course, the cops will lie - they will take it inexpensively, but Ilya Ponomarev confirms the same thing, who posted on his Twitter on October 21 at 10.55 in the morning the following message: "Razvozzhaev was detained in Kyiv by the Russian special services and took to Russia on a private plane (!)." So how is it really: from the Borispol airport by plane to Moscow or on a minibus through the basement and torture to Izmailovsky Park?
There are other doubts. Was Razvozhaev really devoid of liberty from the moment he was abducted? If so, how to explain the appearance of his last blog in the LiveJournal on October 19 at 18.49? This is the very record that was widely quoted in the media and in which he, in particular, writes: “I am a Siberian, taigan, so I can live for a rather long time in extreme conditions. I am not going to play according to their rules. Although I am sure that now they will begin to apply the most vile methods against me: pressure on loved ones, blackmail and provocations!” This record appeared 6 hours after the abduction. How?
Razvoszhaev explained the absence of traces of handcuffs on his feet by the fact that he put on his pajamas under trousers, because in Kyiv it was quite cold that day. But on October 19, in Kyiv there were from 11 to 15 degrees of heat - not even for the "Siberian and Taezhnik" these are far from extreme conditions.
There are a lot of inconsistencies. Probably, they can be somehow explained-something bad memory, something by the machinations of enemies, something incorrect presentation. However, in general, this makes the impression of a little untruth that can cause great doubts. The final conclusions are premature, but it is worthwhile to be alert.
The situation with Leonid Razvoszhaev is alarming and indefinite. If he does not stand and goes further along the path on which he has already taken the first steps, then soon we will hear him as an important witness of the prosecution on political processes in the “anatomical” case and, possibly, in the case related to him on May 6. If he stands, then the honor of him and the praise. In any case, today he still needs public protection as a victim of lawlessness and police crime.
