Navalny agreed to debate with Igor Strelkov

Politician Alexei Navalny accepted the challenge sent to him by the leader of the Novorossiya movement Igor Strelkov (Girkin). He wrote about this on his blog.

“Well, I am a hot supporter of open political discussion and open debate. I have something to say on these topics. A similar conversation with Igor Ivanovich Strelkov, who, of course, is the expressor of the opinion of a particular group of citizens of the Russian Federation, I am interesting and I am ready to participate in it, ”said Navalny.

On July 5, on the air of Roy TV, Strelkov called Navalny on the debate "on a number of issues that interest the Russians and - wider - Russian patriots and nationalists."

The date and format will be determined during negotiations with Strelkov. As a site, Navalny proposed his YouTube channel “Navalny.live”.

Igor Strelkov is a former commander of the “armed forces” of the self -proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, and later - the Minister of Defense of the DPR. From 1998 to 2005, he served in parts of the FSB special purpose in Dagestan and Chechnya. In 2013, he quit the FSB in the rank of colonel. Before arriving at the Donbass, he served the head of the Security Service of the Marshal-Capital investment fund, which belonged to Russian entrepreneur Konstantin Malofeev, scandalously known in connection with accusations of fraud and raiders. Alexander Borodai, Prime Minister of the so-called DPR, also worked as a representative of this investment fund.
