Pskov city court acquitted the former vice-governor
On April 21, the Pskov City Court delivered an acquittal in the case of Dmitry Dervoed, former vice-governor of the Pskov region.
A criminal case against the former deputy head of the administration of the Pskov region, head of the State Unitary Enterprise "Pskovprod" was initiated in 2001. The basis for the initiation of a criminal case was the act of checking the financial activities of an enterprise headed by a vice-governor by the control and audit department of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Dervoed was accused of embezzlement and misappropriation of a state loan.
However, due to violations of the law committed by the prosecutor's office of the Pskov region during the investigation and by employees of the control and audit department of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation during the audit of the activities of SUE Pskovprod, it became impossible to use the report of the financial audit of SUE Pskovprod as evidence.
As a result, former vice-governor Dmitry Dervoed was acquitted. An acquittal was also issued to Vladimir Reva, Dervoed's successor as head of Pskovprod State Unitary Enterprise.
