Leonid TABAKOV, Chairman of the Pskov Regional Council of Trade Unions: “The administration of the Pskov region continues to take a negative stance towards the regional Council of Trade Unions and, first of all, its chairman. The controlled media initiate custom-made provocative articles based on the opinions of people who have no idea about the work of trade unions. The article that appeared in one of the newspapers was signed by former employees who have worked for no more than six months, and some current employees of our institutions, working in positions such as a cleaner, a cloakroom attendant, and so on. We have already prepared material for submission to the court. It is possible that there is some kind of "conspiracy" to initiate my dismissal. Moreover, for this purpose, an attempt is not ruled out either to introduce someone to us, or to use some members of the presidium. Since December last year, we have been trying to negotiate with the governor. However, the administration does not negotiate, does not explain its position. They simply do not want to meet with us, they do not come to our events. Nevertheless, throughout July, the deputy governor, Mr. Morozov, held individual conversations with the chairmen of the regional committees of branch trade unions on the topic "how to remove Tabakov." This looks very funny. And, at the same time, it's sad, because the Pskov region is the only region in Russia where a tripartite agreement between the regional administration, trade union organizations and the association of employers for 2007-2009 has not been signed.

Valentin Kurbatov, writer: “Holy Kurgan will become a place of unity for the torn Russian consciousness. For too long we have been divided into whites and reds, blacks and whites, atheists and prayer books. If, as before, our society is divided into executioners and victims, then, in the end, it will find itself in a torn world, it will suffocate in its vindictiveness. The Russian people must understand their integrity, they must understand why they suffered through this history, why they fought for so long, why they need revolutions and counter-revolutions. He must understand that the most important path is under the cross of the Holy Mound. This is the path of heavenly unity, not just earthly. For too long we did not raise our eyes to the sky and did not see what kind of dome covers us. And, finally, the cross allows us to lift our eyes up and see that there is still a heavenly history of Russia, which is more honest and fair than earthly history. The attempt to connect heavenly and earthly history is the task of the cross.”

Alexei SIGUTKIN, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Secretary of the political council of the regional branch of the United Russia party: “We should not promise voters, but offer. Offer Putin's Plan. We never promised, we always planned and did. If we say: “Look, we have repaired the streets and roads in Pskov,” they will not vote for us. We must clearly say what we must do next year, what we will do in three years, and only then can we hope for success.”

Alexander KHRISTOFOROV, Chairman of the Committee on Social Issues of the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies, Head of the Regional Branch of the LDPR: “When Mitrofanov was admitted to A Just Russia, there was such a moment when Mironov said: “We will take you to us, Alexei Valentinovich, if you change your moral character.” I did not like that Mironov gives such advice to a native of the Liberal Democratic Party. Does he have no one to give such advice to? A Just Russia has enough of its own - for example, Ksenia Sobchak. On Muz-TV they showed a program in which Ksenia Sobchak discussed, in my opinion, with Lyudmila Narusova a very important question that, “the pearls in this necklace are not of very high quality, and it’s too expensive to pay such an amount for it.” I don't know who votes for these people. All of them go there [to A Just Russia] and gather one to one with this moral character. Maybe that's how it's meant to be."
