"Daytime patrol" went away from the book as far as from "Night"
"Daytime patrol" ,
Director Timur Bekmambetov.
The story of Anton Gorodetsky, a simple employee of a night patrol, successfully flew around our country last summer and went beyond Cordon. The fishing rods were abandoned, and after a while the bite went. Europeans, who had not read the books of Sergei Lukyanenko, left the cinemas, holding his head, which could hardly contain all the information about Russia, which was stuffed with “night patrols”.

Our man was not a curiosity of the heroes of the “night patrol”, he lives in it, therefore he evaluated only the quality of special effects and the production of a book that became almost cult in Russia. Another thing is the new Europeans: "The Russians have learned to do special effects, and much cheaper than us."
Meanwhile, the Russians, having gathered the cash register, began to hone their ability to create stunning visual scenes in order to hit all this time at once: already enthusiastic Europeans, and their fellow citizens, who were also happy with the new skills of domestic filmmakers: “Wow, we learned to make special effects. Soon we will learn how to correctly insert them into the paintings. ”
The “Night Watch” was accepted with general complacency, not counting the fans of the book, who, re -flipping their favorite work, were outraged by Sergei Lukyanenko's scenario. However, the truly talent of Lukyanenko to change his own creation manifested itself in the long-awaited continuation-the first film of 2006-“Day Watch”, in the advertising video of which the phrase “Another Watch” sounded very ambiguous.
Despite the extensive festival who wanted to visit the first session of the year on January 1, there were quite a lot. For ten days, a powerful stream of spectators brought more than $ 18 million for ten days. This indicates the incredible commercial success of the second “patrol”. In the evening of January 16, it became known that in 15 days of rental the film raised $ 26 million. This is an absolute record for a Russian film.
The merit for the efforts of the director Timur Bekmambetov to get away from the almost pathos content of the “night patrol” and the success of “daytime patrol” must all be the very Russians who have learned to make high -quality special effects, as well as screenwriter Sergei Lukyanenko. The modern film for commercial success, except for good computer graphics, is not necessary at first. Then people begin to notice that in the picture something is missing, for example, meaning. Which happened to the "Night Watch". They made fun of new -fashioned graphics, spit on the plot, and - out of cinemas.
Despite the remarkable source, the “daytime patrol” had every chance of becoming a conceptual blockbuster, but Lukyanenko, who wrote the script, apparently decided not to overload the heads of the heads tired by the labor everyday life of the audience with the complex philosophical questions, because the film turned out to be without much semantic filling. Although, in comparison with the first picture, the bets are made on the plot, beautifully framed by even more advanced graphics, from which even Hollywood jaws should glue to the floor. The cosmos hotel spaced to smithereens and Moscow lying in ruins will definitely not leave indifferent lovers of solid special effects.

The first impressions of the film are largely created under the influence of an impressive visual series and dynamic soundtrack, where this time, in addition to Max Fadeev’s compositions, more rigid performers, for example, “T-34”-“The House that Jack built” literally swinging the hall.
Many “night” mistakes were taken into account, although fans of literature, after watching the “day patrol”, still indignantly shock books, in a chant, quoting beloved places that did not fall into the film processing or were brutally changed. In addition, the film was shot on the basis of the second and third books, so rumors about the continuation of “patrols” are perplexed.
A little detective plot with bright love scenes almost completely leads the content of the picture from the book. The plot of the book is subordinated to the actions and opinions of others, and not to allegorical characters, once again conveying the complexity of the complexity of completely earthly love, which can exist without any magic and influence of otherworldly forces. Others remained in the film, but that they are on the screen is reminiscent of only short fantastic scenes.
Actors who almost got used to their characters delight with a good game, after which you can believe in the existence of any “patrol”, vampires, witches and other evil spirits. Konstantin Khabensky in the role of Anton Gorodetsky no longer causes other emotions other than delight. His character is now more qualitatively spelled out, which allows the viewer to look at his mental organization, to make out the character.
The authors of the picture gave their characters the opportunity to humiliate more appropriately and more subtly, so that the actors look natural when their heroes joke. To the eternal Russian question "What to do?" Geser (Vladimir Menshov) found his own answer, rolled out of the drawer of the table in the form of a bottle of vodka. Not funny, but about our life.
The “daytime patrol” was very distinguished by the fact that through small details, sometimes barely noticeable, the image of modern Russian life is guessed in the picture. You watch a film, and you understand that a wide Russian soul is revealed by itself. No need to make special efforts to understand that she (soul) loves football, loves to eat sandwiches with sausage, loves to get drunk and loves to unconscious. As for the confrontation of dark and bright forces, this, as usual, goes back to the background for everyday life. “Daytime patrol” is an independent product about the life of people, and not other than the book. Sergei Lukyanenko went in a difficult way, diluting a book and a film. But only having left the Fanservice, he was able to create a completely different patrol.
