A terribly poorly shot, terrible film is a terrible thing
"Dead Daughters" ,
Director Pavel Ruminov.
It is obvious that cinema must either entertain the viewer, or scare, or force to think about the pressing questions of mankind. If the filmmakers promise and write in advance that they shot horrors, then during the film we should be scared at least twice: once it may seem scared, and the second time - for sure. By the aggregate of these factors, it becomes clear that the horror film was a success, and the director of the companions can drink champagne and there are pineapples, as well as rejoice at the cash successes of their brainchild - they achieved the declared goal: to entertain and scare the viewer.

Director Pavel Ruminov lives in the world of modern technologies, so by definition the tendency of world cinema is not alien to him, who is carried away by the redeeming of Japanese horrors about dead girls who come to avenge terribly unjust world. Ruminov, observing the total success of the prequels, sequels and trickers of all Japanese-American “calls”, “ONE MISSED CALL” and other terrible “curses”, apparently thought: “And the casket just opens. Invisibly killed children brutally take revenge on people, but at the same time give them time to think about actions! I'm worse? Yes, I am now taking such a movie - everyone will lie down. "
After this thought, Ruminov creatively processed plot moves and visual techniques from all Japanese horrors, their American Romeks, as well as Silent Hill and Witches from Blair Witch, wrote a script and began to shoot films.
Frankly, the film is very cheerfully conceived by a strong-fingered fan. I wanted to empathize with an unshaven man, similar to Eugene Grishkovts. He climbed into a car to a girl named Vera and asked to take it to where there are a lot of water in containers. It was in the center of Moscow, so Vera was not lucky to the sea-ocean, but took him to a Chinese restaurant with a large number of aquariums. In the restaurant "Pseudogrishkovets" told such a fa.
One beautiful night, a crazy mother drowned her three little daughters. A few years later, the killer mother, placed in a psychiatric hospital, was also brutally killed. Witnesses claimed that three girls did it. The ghosts of the dead daughters took revenge on the mother, but their thirst for revenge was not thickened, and the anger did not dissipate. A deadly chain reaction was brought into action: within three days they followed who the last to see their victim. As soon as a person committed any bad act, the ghosts dealt with him, and so on to infinity. The girl handed over the same story to her friends, and the next day she died tragically. The comrades of the deceased did not grieve for long and almost immediately realized that it was the work of the hands and knives of the “dead daughters”, and the following in the list of small ghosts they were presented.
Having re-read the poem by V.V. Mayakovsky about “what is good and what is bad” and rethinking the legend he told on the eve, they decide to fundamentally change their behavior, that is, to become “Timurovites” for three days, which means “not to drink, not to smoke and translate all-live transverse grandmothers through the roads”, even if grandmothers do not need to cross these roads. How all this will end, the one who lives until the end of the session.
The film is obviously imitating the notorious Japanese films, stamps and cliches for tracing paper were transferred to Russian reality. The realities of the youth subculture are recognizable: light drugs, total communication on the Internet, anime, food in the diner McDonald's. The Dead Daughters were shot in an interesting manner of “trembling camera” interesting for the mid-90s of the last century. The camera, according to the inexplicable creative plan of the operator, should be pretty shaking, as if a slight earthquake occurs on the set, and the color scheme of the gray-brown-yellow shade on the screen. The “Classenka” brings to such a state that I want to lament: “Daughters are dead, kill them faster, why wait three days.”
The genius of acting is touched. I understand that the creation of the film is the process is quite nervous and at the same time funny, but why worry so much. Why are these heroes the whole film speaks a monotonous lulling voices? It seems that when the film was voiced, they read the text from the sheet. What kind of longing in the eyes in which there should be fear? It seemed to me that the actors were too lazy to play in this film, and they simply went back and forth throughout the process. Dialogues ... However, enough about the bad.
If you change the actors, add the speakers, remove the shaking hand of the operator a la “after yesterday”, and to add something “specially effective” to this, then the next “call” would be obtained, only Russian, and 110 minutes of “dead daughters”.
