One of my good acquaintances recently complained of fate: a certain Western Fund allocated her a very round amount for a very worthy project, but the eminent NPO - the recipient of Grant - now refuses to take money, so as not to be listed in the lists of "foreign agents". “I understand them,” my friend said, “they have no other way out.”
Is it really not? We are confronted with a choice: either take a grant and sign up for the "agents" or do not take a grant and refuse the project. So they pose a question. In fact, there is no free choice here - in both cases, we obey the unlawful requirements of the authorities. The free choice looks different: do we obey such requirements or not?
The alternative that the authorities offers us is invented. We take the right choice - we take the grant, but we do not sign up in the register of "foreign agents". In response to this, nine out of ten people will make frightened eyes and inform a tragic whisper: "So they will close NPOs for good or even put it!" Yes, there is such a probability.
In another case, the fresh victims of the new law on rallies already think how to collect 10 thousand rubles for the payment of a fine with folk help. The situation is similar. The authorities tells us: either the rally and pay a fine, or refuse the freedom of manifestation. So they pose a question. The correct answer: we should not pay the fine. “So, after all, they will describe the property and close the exit abroad!”, The regulatory protests exclaim tragically tragically. Yes, there is such a probability.
Such situations can be called a lot. In all these cases, the authorities forces us to voluntarily function in the system created by it, to the game according to the rules established by it, to punishment under the laws invented by it. She drowns us in her rules! Her goal is to force us to voluntarily subordinate, to break. It sounds paradoxically, but it is - we obey under duress, but voluntarily. Because exactly we can also voluntarily undergoure and not obey. Crying that "we are forced," is for slaves. A free person always has a choice.
A few months ago, I spoke out for a civil disobedience campaign. Reading reproaches rained on me: but how not to pay taxes - they will select a business; But how to return our awards to the authorities - we deserve them; But how to boycott the power - she will squeeze us out of the light. Is it possible without sacrifices?
I answer: you can’t. Here we are in Polnoba the question of sanctions arises. And what will we be for this? But how to make nothing? My friends, it doesn’t happen - something will certainly be for disobedience. First to us, then to them. If you want to get freedom and democracy for free, then, I assure you, this will not happen. This does not happen. The only question is when and what to pay.
Now fate provides us, one might say, the most favorable regime. This must be urgently used. For the disobedience of power in terms of non -profit organizations or unauthorized rallies, we are threatened by deprivation of registration, administrative arrest, fine, seizure of property and a ban on traveling abroad. This is a real nonsense in comparison with what had to be sacrificed for freedom in other times and in other countries. This is a gift of fate that you can do with such trifles. Although the prison dates are loomed not far away - not yet very large and for more serious disobedience. Those who are at a most time, pay already at such tariffs.
Alas, alas, but freedom is not given just like that. God forbid, you will have to pay for it as the people in Syria are paying now or recently in Libya. It is still unknown how they will start their freedom, maybe they will not hold in decent hands, but the fee is already high. And so far only deprivation of amenities is required from us. We must rejoice at this and hurry to pay our fee for a free life until the price of it rose to the bloody size.
Yes, NPOs can be closed. Yes, for non -payment of a fine can be selected a passport. But remember that more recently, there were no one thirty years ago registered by NGOs at all, and only a few were received passports with a special resolution. Then they paid for freedom and democracy prisons and psychiatric cars and went to it voluntarily. The human rights organizations worked, despite the fact that they did not have any grants at all, and the authorities were not taken into account. And even earlier, our freedom was defended in the civil war, and then in peasant uprisings and partisan movements and went to this also voluntarily, regardless of power, which, in terms of rigidity, was not the couple of the present.
For our current opportunities, a high price has already been paid. Is it so decent to mel today on comfort and foreign tourism, when there was essentially very little to squeeze? It is only necessary to clearly understand that there will be no freebies. To get something, you have to give something. If we are not ready to take a chance for the sake of freedom even with life amenities, then we should stand forever in the stall that our power has equipped for us.
