"Across Borders"

PROGRAM OF THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MODERN CHOREOGRAPHY

April 25 (Friday)

Dance Theater ERI (Finland) presents two programs: "Tasapaini" ("Tasapaini"), music. Cage, Monk, Howel and "Lariam" ("Lariam"), music. Telepopmusik, Pan Sonik, Red Snapper.

"Tasapaini" - from the Finnish "tasa" - "fair, impartial", "paini" - "struggle". Thus, "Tasapaini" is a balanced fair competition between two men based on a humorous game.

"Lariam" is a story about the wind. The wind has its own color. It blows amid the bustle of excited metropolises, as well as on the silent seashores of distant lands. Even the lightest breeze leaves its mark, not to mention strong storms. The wind has a lot to say...

Creative Association Dance Noise Engineers (Pskov). The project, initiated by representatives of different types of arts, but united by the desire to experiment, presents the performance "Incredibility". With the help of elements of theater and visuals, to electro-acoustic music, the dance seeks its own narrative language.

April 26 (Saturday)

Iwona Olszowska (Poland) with two productions of "Metamorphosis" ("Metamorphoses"), music. Malka Spigel-Hide and "Desapearing in the wardrobe", music. Pascal Comelade, Cirque du Solei. The premiere of the first work took place in 1999, the second in 2001.

"Iguana dance theater" (St. Petersburg) with the production of "Bez pana". Theater critics: “Iguana dance theater restores poetic magic, using a complex language of metaphors in which the sentence is more important than the end result. Here the imaginary world is just as appropriate as ordinary reality. This internally expressed subjectivity means that neither the choreographer, nor the dancer, nor the critics, in the end, know more than the audience.”

On the days of concerts in the foyer of the Big Concert Hall of the Philharmonic from 18.00. a video installation of the AVI project (Pskov) is in operation.

Concerts start at 19:00. Tickets are on sale at the box office of the Philharmonic. Ticket prices are 50 and 30 rubles.

April 25 and 26 from 11.00 to 12.30. in the sports hall of the club "Power" as part of the festival, master classes will be held (open to everyone) with professional choreographers:

April 25 - master class of Elena Belyaeva (Pskov) - modern technique;

April 26 - master class by Iwona Olszowska (Poland, Krakow) - contact improvisation technique.
