On December 11, 2004 in St. Petersburg an attack was made on the chairman of "Memorial" VE Schnittke. V. Schnittke was hospitalized with a diagnosis of concussion. This is far from the first attack on employees of Memorial's St. Petersburg branch.
Earlier, on the fact of the attack committed on August 14, 2003, a criminal case was initiated. The investigation revealed one of the attackers - he turned out to be the kindergarten nurse Vladimir Golyakov, aka Bogumil Golyak - "the supreme sorcerer of the All-Slavic sanctuary." V. Golyakov and the "pagan" group headed by him profess extreme nationalism. In the course of the investigation, facts were revealed that indicate the likely involvement in the commission of the crime of the leader of one of the city's skinhead groups.
On June 18, 2004, the court sentenced V. Golyakov to five years' imprisonment on probation.
A new attack, given that the wallet and mobile phone were not stolen, looks like a demonstrative revenge..
