The leader of the "Shali-Boltya" was arrested

The leader of the Shaltai-Boltai hackers group, known for the publications of the correspondence of Russian officials in October 2016, was detained by FSB officers. It is reported by Rosbalt with reference to the source.

The interlocutors of the agency said that his name is Vladimir Anikeev (pseudonym - Lewis). According to Rosbalt, Anikeev was detained when he flew from Ukraine to St. Petersburg. He was delivered to Moscow, where he was charged with computer hacks.

In his testimony, Anikeev several times mentioned the deputy head of the Center for Information Security of the FSB Sergey Mikhailov, the agency notes.

According to Rosbalt, members of the Shaltai-Boltai group were calculated in the summer of 2016. Searches were held in St. Petersburg, after which Shaltai-Boltai was on the hook of the FSB and was forced to publish materials on the instructions of the department’s employees.

The interlocutor of the agency also associates Anikeev’s arrest with the publication on the Ukrainian website of the correspondence of Vladislav Surkov. This correspondence was published in late October 2016.
