Aloe, similar to a precious stone, glass is called a "golden ruby." Products from it are not cheap, but unusually beautiful.
Rubin glass was able to cook in ancient Rome. But it brought worldwide fame to the German alchemist Johann Kunkel, who in the second half of the 17th century founded the production of products called “Golden Rubin”. To obtain red color, Kunkel was added to the glass mass of gold during cooking. After the death of the alchemist, this secret was lost.
The Golden Rubin opened M.V. Lomonosov. The Russian scientist conducted a huge number of experiments in the production of different glasses, including "excellent green glass of herbal color, very similar to a real emerald" and "other green, approaching aquamarine." Lomonosov learned to make “glass of liver color” and “excellent meat color”, as well as “pink”, “turquoise”, “gold ruby”, from which the Kremlin stars later made.
The Gusevskaya Crystal Plant, founded in 1756, was one of the first to master the production of red products painted with gold, glass.
