In the Perm region, a scandal erupted around the property of the Ministry of Defense. The disbandment of the local institute of missile forces is nearing completion, and the question arises of the building's future ownership. It is not clear from the text of the message of the news agency "New Region - Perm" what are the plans of the military in relation to the building being vacated by the institute. However, it is known that representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church are claiming it, hoping to place a religious school in it.
In April, the governor of the region, Yuri Trutnev, intervened in the conflict between the military and the Russian Orthodox Church. He submitted a request to the military prosecutor's office with a request to ensure the legality of the actions of the Ministry of Defense in relation to the building of the institute, since, in his opinion, attempts to "distribute property on a non-transparent basis" are visible in some actions of the military.
At the same time, the Governor informed the Minister of Education about the situation around the building.
In August, it was announced that part of the building would still be transferred to the diocese. It is planned to organize a theological seminary here with subsequent possible transformation into a theological school. However, there is still ambiguity regarding the entire complex of the disbanded university.
