On April 14, an expanded meeting of the Council of Muftis of Russia was held. It was attended by Muslim leaders, heads (or their deputies) of the spiritual administrations of Muslims in Central and Asian Russia, the North Caucasus, the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the republics and regions of Siberia, the Volga region and the Urals.
The reason for the meeting was the statements of the chairman of the Central Spiritual Directorate of Russia T. Tadzhuddin , made by him on April 3 at a rally of "United Russia" in Ufa.
As a result of the meeting, a document was adopted, which declared the anti-war position of the Council of Muftis and its support for the policy of the President of Russia.
The danger of the spread of extremism, especially religious extremism, in Russian society was again noted and readiness to cooperate with the state, society, human rights organizations and representatives of other "traditional" confessions to "prevent and prevent manifestations of pseudo-Islamic extremism" was declared.
The participants in the meeting said that the attempt of the Central Spiritual Directorate of Music to "shift responsibility for the public statements of its chairman to the bodies of state power of Russia and accuse the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, which issued a warning to Talgat Tadzhuddin and the Central Spiritual Spiritual Directorate, of serving the interests of the United States" is unacceptable.
“Muslim organizations declare,” the document says, “that the unauthorized declaration of military jihad by the United States and a call to raise funds for the purchase of weapons abroad caused enormous damage to the authority of Russian Muslim organizations and damaged foreign policy of our state. An official official - a mufti, who heads one of the Muslim centers of Russia, tried to put the policy of the President of Russia in a false light before the whole world, cast a shadow of extremism on the entire Russian ummah. "
The participants of the meeting issued the following fatwa:
"recognize the activities of Talgat Tadzhuddin, who appropriated the prophetic mission, as apostasy from the foundations of Islam;
announce the impossibility of Talgat Tadzhuddin to hold the position of the spiritual leader of Muslim organizations in the Russian Federation;
recognize Talgat Tadzhuddin's statement about declaring military jihad against the United States as having neither theological, legal, nor moral force and not subject to execution by Russian Muslims;
announce that from now on, none of the Muslims has the right to perform joint prayers with Talgat Tajuddin and follow any instructions and advice from him.
The prediction made by Tajuddin that in the next two or three days one of the American aircraft carriers will sink, and America will not exist, since it will break up into fifty states, is in this connection a false prophecy.
It is also blasphemous to attempt to compare jihad against the United States with jihad against fascist Germany, since in 1941 Germany, treacherously violating the treaty, attacked the USSR, while no one attacked Russia today."
At the meeting of the Council of Muftis, there were no representatives of the DUM of the Tyumen region - the largest spiritual administration that is not part of either the RMC, or the Central Spiritual Directorate of Muslims, or the Coordinating Center for Muslims of the North Caucasus - and its leader, Mufti Galimzyan Bikmullin.
T. Tadzhuddin himself, having learned about the decision of the Council of Muftis, said that no one has the right to deprive him of his post, since he was elected by the congress of Muslims, and the post is given for life. And "the decision of the Council of Muftis is like one janitor filming another." In response to Izvestia's proposal to comment on the decision of the Council of Muftis, according to journalists , T. Tadzhuddin sent a fax to the editorial office, on which a figurine was adorned over the decision of the Council.
