A Hare Krishna temple will appear in Moscow
On April 16, at a meeting of the public urban planning council at the Moscow City Hall, a decision was made to build a Hare Krishna temple on the Khodynka field in Moscow. Planned. That in terms of architecture it will resemble the Hare Krishna Temple in London.
On June 17, a meeting of the Government Body Commission (GBC), the governing body of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), opened at the Sukharev Temple of Krishna Consciousness (not far from the Katuar station of the Savelovsky direction of the Moscow Railway). The meeting is devoted to plans for the construction of the Krishna temple in Moscow on the Khodynka field. Seven members of the GBC arrived in Moscow to participate in this event.
It is supposed that the temple will have three altars, a temple room for a thousand people, a conference hall, lecture halls and auditoriums for the Vedic University, a vegetarian restaurant, shops selling Vaishnava paraphernalia and clothing, and a small hotel.
On August 21 - the Day of the Appearance of Krishna - a special program will be launched for universal participation in the construction of a new temple.
