President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin
In the history of the death of the 6th company, there are still many white spots. And this worries the souls of relatives and the public. And today it is appropriate to say about it.
At the city cemetery of Pskov, the heroes of Russia were buried nearby, the commander of the guard battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mark Nikolaevich Evtyukhin and his deputy guard, Major Alexander Vasilievich Dostavalov. And the date of death is one - March 1, 2000.
Alexander was on a checkpoint (height 787.0 near the positions of a fighting company), when the 6th company was attacked by bandits. He heard on the radio how his battalion commander, who was along with the company and took on the command after the death at the very beginning of the battle of the company commander Major Molodov, repeatedly asked for help. Contrary to the order of the command, apparently deciding that it was impossible to save the 6th company, he with a platoon of paratroopers - volunteers of Lieutenant Ermakov went to the aid of a dying company.
The command of decisive measures for saving the company does not take, but only requires the company to fight to the end. Today we still do not know much about that fight. But the fact that Zavavalov understood that one platoon of volunteers (two offices out of three, he left one branch at a height) to help the company very little, there was no doubt. And if his breakthrough is not supported, then his platoon will die with the company, especially since the command did not allow him to break through to the company.
Any heroic death, especially the death of a whole company, is usually a consequence of either sloppiness, or incompetence, or direct betrayal.
We ask you, dear president, to instruct the state law enforcement agencies answer the following questions:
The release of the 6th company to a height of 776.0 was detained by the command for a day-why?
The personnel of the company, advanced to the most dangerous part of the possible breakthrough of the main forces of the bandits, in addition to weapons and ammunition, in the most difficult mountain conditions dragged tents, furnaces, food and other property in himself in a manual, that is, it was maximally constrained and connected in the event of a sudden attack on the company. Why was it impossible to abandon this property by a helicopter?
As it turned out, the company moved into an ambush in advance for her, into a kind of bag, which the militants slammed immediately after the start of the battle. This bag was shot in pre -installed mortars of militants. How, when, and why did the militants be able to prepare so well for the meeting and destruction of the company? And only the good training and combat experience of the commander of the guards of the lieutenant colonel M.N. Yevtyukhin allowed him immediately after the collision of the intelligence officer with the militants to move back and take the defense at an altitude of 776.0. Otherwise, the company would be immediately completely destroyed or captured. How did the information about the movement of the company become known to the militants?
Why was the company not supported by long -range artillery, volley firewall systems and Uracan installations, the divisions of which were at the disposal of the General of the Airborne Forces of Lensov, and the battlefield was in the zone of their reach? The company connected the main forces of the bandits (several thousand people), and the blow of this artillery on the militant concentration of the militants identified during the battle would have provided significant assistance to the company and even could have defeated the enemy if it were supplemented by the blow of military helicopters. It was behind these main forces that the bandits hunted the entire hundred thousandth grouping of troops in Chechnya. But in fact, artillery support turned out to be only low-power regimental artillery at the limit of its shooting range, individual shells even fell into the location of the company (about 80% of the defeat of the dead fighters of the 6th company were from artillery and mortars). Who is responsible for this?
Why was the commander of the guard battalion Lieutenant Colonel M.N. Evtukhin, who led the exit to the most dangerous direction, was not warned by the command and intelligence on the presence of the main forces of the militants on the route determined to him? If no one knew about this, then why?
Why did the regiment commander always demanded to hold on to the company and promised help, and the other company actually sent to the rescue went along the most unsuccessful and complex of all possible routes and lay down at the mountain river, meeting fire opposition from the militants who took up positions on the other side of the river in advance?
Why did the command leave the battlefield for three days, allowing them to gather and bury all their dead, endure and help their wounded, pick up all weapons and ammunition?
On television, the Baltic states immediately after the battle were shown episodes of this battle. As those who could see them say, the shooting was made from the militants by Western European operators. The messages of our media about this fight began to appear only on the 5th day. And only thanks to the Pskov journalists. This information found our command by surprise. Why?
These questions, first of all, should answer the former commander of the military group in Chechnya General G. Troshev, the head of the General Staff General A. Kvashnin, the command of the Airborne Forces. I would also like to know from General G. Troshev, where he was during a 20-hour battle
The 6th company, when and who reported him about this battle and what instructions or orders he gave to assist the company.
Many of these problems are very reasonably reflected in the article by the journalist E. Polyanovsky “Suvorik” (Izvestia, October 2002)
The statement of General V. Shamanov on the NTV channel before March 1, 2003, that the death of the 6th company was a consequence of certain political circumstances, gave rise to even more questions.
I would like to know from you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, when and from whom did you learn about the battle of the 6th company, did you give any instructions to the commanding of the troops? Are these instructions executed?
Without answers to these questions, the memory of heroes cannot be complete.
