ORT is preparing television series about the Russian Orthodox Church

On August 25, a meeting was held between Patriarch Alexy II and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Mikhail Shvydkoy, at which the issues of creating three series about the Russian Orthodox Church were discussed.

The first project is a 10-episode TV movie "History of the Russian Orthodox Church". It is planned that it will be prepared by ORT. (It is planned that it will be filmed by documentary filmmaker Sergei Miroshnichenko, author of the films "Unknown Putin: Peace and War", "Nicholas II: Circle of Life", "Life is not a lie. Alexander Solzhenitsyn", secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, who was a member of the jury festival "Golden Knight").

The second project is the 5th serial film "Pilgrimage to the Eternal City", about the Russian pilgrimage to Rome.

The third project is supposed to create "psychological portraits of the metropolitans of the Russian Orthodox Church."
