Gennady Zyuganov on the “Zionization” of Russia

In September 2003, the newspaper "Rus Pravoslavnaya" (Konstantin Dushenov) published an interview with Gennady Zyuganov on the pre-election position of the leader of the Communist Party (and, apparently, the party as a whole). The reason for the interview, entitled "Holy Russia and Koshcheevo Kingdom" , was the book of the same name written by the leader of the communists.

The editors annotated the text as follows: "The Zionization of state power has become one of the reasons for the current catastrophic state of the country, the mass impoverishment and extinction of its population," claims the leader of the Russian Communists, Gennady Zyuganov, in an interview with the editor-in-chief of Orthodox Russia; Konstantin Dushenov .

In the interview, in addition to the questions of "Russian spirituality" , considerable attention is paid to the "Russian question". G. Zyuganov draws attention to the fact that " "the current president of Russia does not care about Russian national problems at all . Meanwhile, the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasizes that this issue is of great concern to his party and refers to the statutory documents of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation: “Today, few people are deceived: patriotic; slogans of the ruling regime. The anti-Russian, anti-Slavic orientation of the current course is becoming more obvious. The Russian people, the Slavs, others Indigenous peoples, which historically form the basis of the thousand-year-old statehood of Russia, turned out to be the most destitute and humiliated. The consequences of the Russophobic policy of power are terrible. The population of indigenous Russian regions is dying out 2-3 times faster than the national average. There are practically no Russians left in the highest echelons of power. They have been expelled from the spheres of administration, finance, and the mass media [emphasis added in the text - ed. ] At the same time, by "national bias" G. Zyuganov means the "Jewish question."

To K. Dushenov's question "Are you not afraid of being accused of "specially playing": the national card; on the eve of the elections?" G. Zyuganov, with all party directness, answers: “I’m not afraid! After all, this problem is not far-fetched. Our people are not blind. They cannot but see that the Zionization of state power has become one of the reasons for the current catastrophic state of the country, the mass impoverishment and extinction of its population "He cannot turn a blind eye to the aggressive role of Zionist capital in the collapse of the Russian economy and the plunder of its public property. He rightly wonders how it could happen that key positions in a number of industries were seized during privatization mainly by representatives of one nationality. He sees that in the hands of the same persons is concentrated control over the mass media, waging a destructive struggle against our Fatherland, morality, language, culture and faith .

I would like to note that such statements by G. Zyuganov have already been published in the newspaper "Soviet Russia" as the theses of his speeches to voters. At the same time, in a long interview with A. Prokhanov and S. Chikin, published in "Soviet Russia" on August 26, 2003 (that is, at about the same time as the interview with K. Dushenov), there were no anti-Semitic passages, moreover , the interview participants did not touch on the "national question" at all.

We do not comment on the position of "Rus Pravoslavnaya" itself, since this newspaper, one of the most radical among publications of the Orthodox-nationalist trend, does not try to meet any standards of tolerance.

On the other hand, we cannot fail to note the level of pathos of G. Zyuganov, which this time equaled the pathos of K. Dushenov.

It is also interesting that the interview of the leader of one of the largest Russian parties appeared almost simultaneously with the statement by the Minister of Nationalities Vladimir Zorin about the inadmissibility of using nationalist motives in election campaigning and the creation of a public council whose task is to monitor campaign materials for inciting national and religious enmity. G. Zyuganov's interview, in our opinion, is just an example of what V. Zorin and the council are going to fight against. We, for our part, will try to reflect the results of this "struggle".
