Chairman of the Council of the Center for Societies for Krishna Consciousness in Russia Sergey Zuev (Radha Damodar das) gave an interview to Portal-Credo.ru , in which he spoke about the situation of Vaishnava communities in the country and, in particular, gave a number of data on the number of followers of this teaching. According to him, 98 communities in large centers and about 300 more small groups are registered in Russia. There are Vaishnavas in 180 cities and towns of the country. Large temples are being built in six cities (including Kazan, Yaroslavl, Chelyabinsk, Sochi, Essentuki).
“I think,” said Radha Damodar Das, “that in Moscow we have even more than 10 thousand followers. During the existence of our society, we have distributed more than 11 million books throughout Russia. This indicates that a fairly large circle of people is covered. the regional structure is being drawn, 9 regions have been identified, which are compactly, autonomously managed, in the regions they solve all spiritual, educational, charitable issues. Perhaps not as explosive as before, but meaningful growth is going on."
