On August 29, "Gazeta" published an article by Oleg Rubnikovich about the arrest of suspects in the murder of Igor Ostrovsky's son, who was arrested in the "werewolves" case. The article is called "Visiting Moldovans beat a police cadet to death" , illustrated with photographs of the detainees with the caption "During the day, Moldovans earned money as laborers, and in the evening - gop-stop" .
Another example of the emphasized mention of ethnicity in the criminal chronicle once again draws attention to the position of not only the author, but also the editors, who, in the presentation of the material (large headline, caption under the photographs in bold type), stand in solidarity with Oleg Rubnikovich. It is especially strange to see this in such a publication as Gazeta, which previously managed to cover crime stories quite correctly.
