Secular and religious: from conflict to dialogue

The observers of the portal "Religion and Media" Alexander Morozov and Alexander Kyrlezhev, starting from the ideas of Jurgen Habermas, expressed by the famous German philosopher and sociologist several years ago - shortly after the September 11 disaster, talk about the relationship between secular and religious principles in society, which have long been in conflict with each other. with a friend. The authors, following Habermas, believe that the development of world civilization makes it extremely necessary to establish a dialogue between the bearers of secular and religious forms of consciousness. Both those and others, in the words of A. Kyrlezhev, "should learn to stand not only on the "border of the world", but also on the border of (their) Truth."
