An Orthodox church was desecrated in Novy Urengoy

In early November, an act of vandalism was committed in Novy Urengoy. The young man, who was in a state of alcoholic and drug intoxication, destroyed the interior of the Orthodox Church, damaged the altar and icons. Corrupted holy gifts will be re-sanctified.

The material damage was estimated by a specially created commission at 1 million 270 thousand rubles. The temple was supported by local enterprises and promised by the city authorities.
