“This, comrades, is a triple!”

ORP "Rus" appealed to the chairman of the Central Bank with a request to restore a denomination of three rubles.

The party believes that such a step will help strengthen Russia's financial and credit system and serve * "to create an environment that reflects the basic values ​​and cultural traditions of the Russian people."

"The return of 3 rubles to the Russian people will have a beneficial effect both on the state of public opinion and on the economic situation of the whole country. Our opinion is based on the following arguments.

The number "3" is sacred in the Russian Orthodox tradition, as it symbolizes a triangle that personifies the Holy Trinity - mind, body and spirit; or the mother of a father and child... With the light hand of Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol, the "bird-troika" became the symbol of Russia, Russian Orthodox people are baptized with three fingers. It is no coincidence that the expression "God loves the Trinity", common among the Russian people - the number "3" is considered lucky, bringing good luck ... 3 rubles have become an integral element of Russian folk culture*," the party's statement says.

In this case, of course, it is not the proposal itself that is interesting, which cannot be called otherwise than curious. The traditionalist rhetoric that substantiates this proposal is interesting.
