“Walking Together” held the action “There are no Orthodox communists” in Moscow

On November 29, the "Walking Together" movement organized an action under the slogan "There are no Orthodox communists." Approximately 10,000 young people marched from Bolotnaya to Kaluga Square, holding photographs of churches destroyed under Soviet rule and priests shot. Above the column carried a portrait of Gennady Zyuganov with a candle in his hands.

Here is how Boris Yakimenko, First Deputy Head of the Marching Together organization, commented on this event: “The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation constantly says that he is Orthodox, and even a man in a cassock and with a cross appeared next to him, who is an Orthodox priest, and even published a book on almost 40,000 churches were destroyed, hundreds of thousands of clergy were shot - not a single person repented of this."
