Antonina Kosterkina: "It is not the one who has better a voice, but the one who has a better head"
On November 25, a special concert was held in the lecture hall of the Pskov Regional Library. The young voices of Pskov and Russia participated in it. The concert was charitable and was dedicated to one of the oldest temples in the city of Pskov - the Church of Vasily on Gorka.

Children and adults took part in the concert, as the accompanist Irina Kozhemyaka noted, our future and present. Any good deed begins with prayer - as it has long been said among the people.
And the concert also began and ended with prayer.
He suggested donations to restore the Temple of Vasily on the hill.
The concert was attended by Julia Lebedeva, Bogdan Mashura, Igor and Fedor Zhdanova, Irina Loginova, Vasily Kosterkin, Elena Chupakhina, Tatyana Kolmakova.
"But how will you handle it?"
Antonina Andreyevna Kosterkin, a vocal teacher and an ideological inspirer, told us more about this concert.
Tell me, how did the plan of this concert arise?
Having moved to Pskov, I met my father Andrei Bolshaninov. At some point, they gave him the church of Vasily on the hill. ... And this is one of my favorite churches. Once I walked past her and decided to go, the father was there, it was evident that there was a repair. But at the same time, a lot is destroyed. Restoration requires a lot of funds. I asked - how can you handle it? With God's help, Father answered humbly. Then the idea appeared to make a concert. When I told the guys about her, they didn’t even have to persuade them, they immediately became infected with this idea. And we thought - how much we will collect, we will collect so much, people at least find out that the church has opened.
There was a full house at the concert. Can you somehow explain it?
Don't even know. Just the people responded well. When I went to a flower shop to buy flowers to artists and arrange a donation box - such a cute girl works there - and she became interested in what a concert. She asked, why is there no advertisement anywhere, is it really only for her? I invited her. And so with everyone.
"My singing children"
The program says that Vladyka Eusebius blessed the holding of this concert ...
Yes, we decided that we must definitely ask him. Vladyka looked at the program, said - “Come on. It's good. ” Maybe that's why there was a full house ...
What united the concert participants?
These are my singing children. The backbone of the class. They are all with voices and want to sing. In all my endeavors, I rely on them. The guys are not indifferent, they teach everything fast.
How was the selection of works for the concert? After all, the military, and folk, and children's songs sounded there?
They chose things that are most suitable as possible in content, tried to take not secular, not frivolous.
There is an opinion that the musician does not have to be smart, it is enough to have a good voice. How reasonable is it?
My teacher said that it is not the one who has better a voice, but the one who has a better head. This is the individual's individual. There was such a tenor - Tito Skip. He had a small, weak voice, but he was smart and musical. He knew how to present a work so that the singer was worn in his arms. A big beautiful voice is not a guarantee that you will become a singer. The composer did not just write the work, he put feelings there, that which hurt him, what was important to him is expensive.
Each work has its own meaning, and it is not easy to feel it. The pianist in his work needs a tuned tool. The vocalist must simultaneously configure his tool and play on it. This is a very difficult profession.
What are your future plans?
The next we want to make a solo concert of Vasily Kosterkin, and there - as God will give, I'm afraid to look.
