Rogozin about the “torn body of the state”

In the post-election issue of Freedom of Speech (NTV, December 10), Dmitry Rogozin, in response to Vladimir Ryzhkov's reproach that the latest statements of the Motherland bloc and his (Rogozin's) personal one, had already begun to contradict their own pre-election rhetoric (Vladimir Ryzhkov reminded Dm. Rogozin, his statements on Tuzla, on Georgia, reproaches against the European Union and said that at a meeting of the leaders of Rodina with European diplomats, Rogozin declared Russia's readiness and openness to cooperate with Europe), Dm. Rogozin replied that his bloc sees Europe as its main political and economic partner, and as for Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, "this is the center of future statehood. We are confident that bureaucratic obstacles must be overcome. Russia ... exists today in torn borders. We must be together with those where the majority of the population is oriented towards Russian culture. We must glue together the torn state body, torn in 1991. This is our program statement, and I confirm it" .
