In the pre-New Year issue of the Literaturnaya Gazeta, an interview was published with the writer Andrey Parshev, author of the bestseller Why Russia is Not America, which actually develops the theory expressed by Sergei Lopatnikov in Moskovsky Komsomolets. A. Parshev adds to Russia's global concern: "I believe that Western Europe and Japan are greatly concerned about the fact that the United States has put almost all the hydrocarbon resources of the earth under forceful control (except for Russia and Iran, which is 15-20%). As for Russia, we see quite obvious attempts by Anglo-American corporations to appropriate our oil - for example, with the help of their agents represented by Yukos. After all, it was they who planned to sell this oil company ... "

To the journalist's remark that it is impossible to talk about plans to sell a controlling stake in Yukos to a foreign investor as a fait accompli, Parshev continues: "Let's talk seriously. Who is the management of" our "oil giant? to consider Yukos as a Russian company." And then he develops his thought: "I'll correct myself a little: don't other companies, LUKOIL, for example, have Americans among their top managers?" .

In our opinion, this is a very promising approach to the problem. And from now on, if the Prosecutor General's Office suddenly encounters difficulties in protecting state interests, then it will be enough for it to look through the lists of top managers of companies for the presence of US citizens or, in extreme cases, Great Britain. Surely there will be more foreigners, or at least persons with dual citizenship: Israel, Belize, etc.
