On February 9, 2004, in the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg, in the courtyard of house No. 4 on Boytsova Lane, a group of drunk teenagers, armed with knives and brass knuckles, attacked 35-year-old Yusuf Sultanov (later it turned out that the victims’ last name was Sultonov), who was returning from a walk with a 9-year-old daughter Khursheda and 11-year-old nephew Alabir. The girl, who was stabbed 11 times, died as a result of the attack.
The attack, according to Yusuf, was accompanied by shouts: “Russia for the Russians.”
A murder investigation is underway.
