The Perm Muftiate of the Central Muslim Spiritual Society spoke out against plans to open a training center at the Perm mosque “under the canonical authority of parallel Islamic structures”

On March 22, the Perm Muftiate issued a public statement expressing "concern about the plans to open in Perm on March 24 the so-called 'training center' at the Perm mosque under the canonical authority of the parallel Islamic structures 'council of muftis' and 'spiritual administration of Muslims of the European part of Russia' ". Representatives of these "parallel structures" - R. Gainutdin (chairman of the CMR-DUMER), G. Iskhakov (mufti of the DUM of Tatarstan), N. Ashirov (DUMACHR), - invited to the opening of the training center, are called in the statement "blatant conductors of Wahhabism in Russia" .

"The presence and successful operation of the Muslim college" Tarik ", - the statement says, - casts doubt on the validity of claims to open another Muslim educational institution. Many still have fresh memories of the "imam" of this mosque, deported from Russia, who for years spread the ideology of Wahhabism and religious intolerance.It seems that the organizers of this event are planning to continue spreading non-traditional heresies for local Muslims.

Local Muslims, as well as many public organizations, are legitimately dissatisfied with the indicated actions of the "leaders" of the Perm mosque, as well as manifestations of corruption.

The Muftiate expresses his extreme concern over the current situation and believes that in the future the problem of the Perm mosque may become the cause of interethnic confrontation in the Kama region.
