March 26, 2004 in Pskov, near the building of the Pedagogical Institute on Nekrasov Street, a rally of the Russian Movement against illegal immigrants was held.
Having gathered at the children's regional library in the Children's Park, about 20 teenagers, most of whom hid their faces, moved towards the courtyard of the city administration. Bypassing the building of the mayor's office, the column passed the building of the concert hall of the regional philharmonic society and lined up in the parking lot near the Pskov Pedagogical Institute. In their hands they held posters with slogans directed primarily against the inhabitants of the North Caucasus region.
The protesters were going to send an appeal to the mayor of Pskov, Mikhail Khoronen, with a demand to take tough measures to curb illegal immigration, up to the deportation of illegal immigrants from the territory of Russia.
Similar rallies were held by DPNI in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
