...And there is a monument to Putin

On April 19, 2004, Novaya Gazeta reported that they were going to erect a monument to Vladimir Putin in Pskov. Where the monument will be located is not reported. According to one version - on the ruins of the unfinished Palace of Pioneers.

In addition, the name of the current president is supposed to be given to the new regional children's polyclinic center. Both initiatives were put forward by the Union of Citizens of the Pskov Region.

Interestingly, the next day, April 20, the front page of Izvestia published a message that Zurab Tsereteli was currently sculpting a sculpture of Putin in a judoka costume. Where the sculpture will be installed is not reported.
