Murder of Armenians in the Angara region

On the night of June 8-9, 2004, in the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye (Irkutsk Region), on Internatsionalnaya Street, two ethnic Armenians were beaten to death by two young men.

Guest workers aged 32 and 35 and a girlfriend of one of them loudly sorted out the relationship between themselves. Two young men attacked the arguing in order to "protect the girl" and insults. Both Armenians were severely beaten. Both were admitted to the hospital with craniocerebral injuries, in a second-degree coma. The first died about 10 hours after admission, the other a little later.

The attackers were not caught.
