On September 18, 2004 in Moscow at about 10:30 p.m., on the Airport-Dynamo section, a fight broke out in a metro train car between young people, according to various indications, numbering from 20 to 50 people, and passengers of non-Slavic appearance.
Witnesses to the fight said that the attackers had their heads shaved, dressed in short black jackets, skinny jeans and army-style boots. According to the stories, they entered the carriage and began to purposefully beat people from the Caucasus, shouting at the same time “This is for terrorist attacks!” .
According to some reports, the teenagers were led by a certain “foreman”, who, before the beating began, addressed the passengers: “Dear citizens. Please do not be alarmed. You are not in danger. Now we will quickly demonstrate to you how to handle lumps of wood and we will get off at the next station . And now - Muslims, pa-adem!"
Kommersant correspondent Sergei Dyupin, who witnessed the beating, claims that it was impossible to come to the aid of the victims - all attempts were stopped by the attackers.
The attackers fled at the Dynamo station. The victims (two Azerbaijanis and a Tajik) were hospitalized in various city hospitals, one of them is in serious condition. The condition of the rest is assessed by doctors as moderate.
Immediately after the incident, a large number of fellow countrymen of the victims gathered at the scene. The police managed to keep the situation under control and convince the Caucasians to disperse.
On the morning of September 19, the police detained two attackers.
