At a seminar in DUMER, the heads of Islamic educational institutions discussed issues of cooperation with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies

On September 16, within the framework of the DUMER seminar held in Moscow for the heads of Islamic educational institutions in Russia, issues of cooperation between Muslim organizations and the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies were discussed. In total, more than 40 representatives from 15 regions of the country came to the forum. September 16 - on the "Day of the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies" - the seminar was attended by the heads of military units and bodies of educational work of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ground Forces, the Federal Border Guard Service of the FSB, research and educational institutions of "power" departments and the Institute freedom of conscience.

The reports were made by the Deputy Chairman of the DUMER Damir Gizatulin ("Peculiarities of Patriotic Education of Russian Muslim Military Personnel"), Head of the Department for the Development of State-Islamic Relations of the Council of Muftis of Russia S. Melkov ("Goals, principles and main directions of interaction between domestic Muslim organizations and military units in modern conditions"), director of the Center for Military Religious Research Captain First Rank Sergei Mozgovoy ("Implementation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion in the Armed Forces of Russia").

Speakers expressed concern about the increase in violence in the country, as evidenced by the recent terrorist attacks, emphasized that terrorists have nothing to do with Islam, spoke in favor of more active cooperation with the army and law enforcement agencies, in particular in the field of patriotic and spiritual and moral education . At the same time, it was noted that the leadership of the Armed Forces and "power" departments should equally treat employees of all nationalities and religions, since the confessionalization of military collectives is fraught with grave consequences for the country.

At the seminar, an agreement was reached between the imams and representatives of educational structures to create a working group to prepare teaching aids and reference books for officers and spiritual leaders on organizing work with believing Muslim soldiers, as well as a memo to a Muslim soldier about serving in the Russian Army. It was also decided to hold similar seminars in the regional DUM, which are members of the DUM.
