On October 25, at a meeting of the district council for the implementation of state policy in the field of freedom of conscience and religious associations, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District Petr Latyshev called on the leaders of religious organizations to help the state comply with immigration laws and cooperate on security issues.
P. Latyshev recalled the recent detention of representatives of the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization in the Tyumen region and reported on the facts of extremism in all regions of the region. According to the plenipotentiary, the situation in the region is complicated by splits in the Muslim environment.
