V. Matvienko denies the involvement of extremist groups in the murders of foreigners in St. Petersburg

Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko continues to deny the version of the participation of extremist groups in attacks in St. Petersburg on foreign students and the murder of scientist Nikolai Girenko. "The final conclusions will be made by the investigation, but preliminary - these are bandit-hooligan manifestations ," the governor noted. V. Matvienko also believes that St. Petersburg needs a tolerance program. She also noted the great role of the media in "saving the city" from nationalistic manifestations.
