In St. Petersburg, Orthodox parents oppose the creation of digital identification systems for students in schools

On November 22, Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko solemnly opened the first system of digital identification of visitors at the entrance to school N 89 (each student will have to use a personal electronic card to pass through the turnstile). According to the plans of the administration, such security systems should be installed in all schools in the city. However, even now the Committee on Education and school directors have begun to receive applications from Orthodox parents who consider the creation of such systems an encroachment on the God-given personal freedom of their children. In addition, attention is drawn to the inefficiency of such security measures. The application form, which substantiates the illegality of the actions of the authorities, was compiled by lawyers of the public movement "For the right to live without TIN, personal codes and microchips."
