Stavropol region. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs learn to prevent crimes on ethnic grounds

November 29-30, 2004 in the Stavropol branch of the All-Russian Institute for Advanced Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia held a seminar "The importance of interaction between law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, public organizations and the media in ensuring the national security of Russia."

According to the Stavropol GUVD, the seminar discussed criminal law and criminological aspects of preventing hate crimes; the mechanism for the formation of hatred towards a foreigner and a heterodox, the causes of racial and ethnic extremism, as well as the interaction of law enforcement agencies with non-governmental organizations and the media.
