Girls' conversion to Islam is "the opposite effect of discrediting the media"

Most of the newly converted Muslims are teenagers and young girls, Islam.ru reports citing the Russian bureau IslamOnLine . An unnamed source in the Council of Muftis of Russia said that "70% of those who converted to Islam are girls. This is the opposite effect of discrediting Muslims in the media. The number of converts to Islam especially increases after the terrorist attacks, when Muslims are openly accused of aiding criminals," the source added.
