On October 6-7, Belgorod State University hosted the All-Russian Scientific Conference "Secular-Religious Interaction in a Changing Russia", organized with the participation of local branches of the Russian Association of Religious Researchers (ROIR) and the Russian Society of Sociologists (ROS). In addition to representatives of state and municipal authorities, educational institutions and public organizations of Belgorod and the region, religious scholars and public figures from Moscow, Perm, Magadan and Voronezh took part in the forum.
According to the ROIR website , "the conference worked in four main areas related to religious-secular interaction:
problems of sociological research of secular-religious interaction;
political and legal aspects of secular-religious interaction;
the relationship between secular society and religion in the field of education, upbringing and culture;
religion and youth in modern social processes".
In the future, it is planned to make the conference regular.
