On December 15, 2004, three unknown persons wounded an Israeli citizen born in Dagestan. Mikhail Yusupov left the house on Khalturinskaya Street and went to the tram stop. When the young man entered the tram and sat down, an unknown person approached him from behind and put a knife to his throat, asking him what his nationality was. When Yusupov answered that he was a Jew, two people attacked him from the front and with the words "something a lot of you Jews got divorced here" began to beat him. The third unknown person stabbed the young man in the back. All attackers fled. Eyewitnesses called an ambulance and the police.
Two attackers have been detained. The victim was taken to the institute. Sklifosovsky, where they immediately performed two operations on the lung. Now Mikhail Yusupov's condition is assessed as stable.
